| With regard to the outreach programs themselves, the following
employ most of the 400 full and part time workers who are
identified with Word of Life Ministries.
Team Evangelism
Working in teams of two or more, evangelists go from door
to door in the villages - presenting the Gospel. At the same
time, other teams hand out tracts and New Testaments (in telegu)
in the streets and preach in the open air. At the end of these
campaigns, a pastor is appointed to care for the converts
and a new Church is planted. A single pastor may end up being
responsible for the care of three and even four villages.
Child Evangelism
Specially trained team members use film, stories, acting,
singing and a form of ‘Children's Church’ to reach
the young people of the village. Not only do the children
respond positively to this method of presenting the Gospel
but so do their parents as well.
Youth Evangelism
Plays, outings, seminars and rallies are all used by our Youth
Teams to attract young adults - often from a number of different
villages - to a presentation of the Gospel that transcends
the entrenched caste and religious systems to win them to
Christ.
Student Evangelism
Christian students are encouraged to share the Gospel through
the friendships they develop at University and College. These
contacts are often the most telling of all because the vast
majority of the Church's future leaders come from this group.
Word of Life Ministries does its very best to support all
of its workers - but is entirely dependent on the gifts of
God's people to carry out its programs. If the Lord so leads,
therefore, your support would be greatly appreciated. It will
certainly be put to very good use!
